William. A local character in Bude and well known through out the fishing fraternity. I will always remember him as a bit of a joker and the house they lived in at Helibridge. This was a Wooden Bungalow with no electricity or Gas just a cold running water and a toilet outside which had to be emptied into a pre dug hole in the garden, lighting was via a tilly lamp or candle, bath time had you sat in a tin bath by the black Arga cooker in the living room
